2013 Shelby GT500 !!!!!!!! (Update, 2013 V-6 and V-8)

Breaking News: The new updated 2013 Shelby GT500 has been announced. Ford fan’s have been in fear that the Camaro ZL1 will kick the the Gt500 off the podium, because of the ZL1’s 6.2 Liter supercharged V-8 producing 580 horse power and 556 Lb-Ft of torque. BUT FEAR NO LONGER!!!! The new Gt500 will be prooduce  a mind boggling 650 horsepower and a ludicrous 600 Lb-Ft of torque! Further mechanical revisions for the Gt500 are: a larger displacement (5.8 L instead of 5.4 L), a new Eaton series supercharger, a larger cooling fan, a higher-flowing inter-cooler pump, and a larger inter-cooler heat exchange. All these updates are what raised horsepower and torque by a 100 units on both sides. Now as for prosthetic updates there’s not much but there still defiantly a noticeable difference. The complete rear fascia has been updated. The taillights have been completely redesigned and they now compose of circular led’s. As for the front fascia, a new thick chin splitter, a new revised bottom grill, and the headlights are now HID’s with LED accents. Oh… and oh yea did i forget to mention that this Cobra goes 200+ MPH !!!

(Update for Alejandro) PS: As for the Gt and the V-6. The changes are not as dramatic as in the Gt500, but needles to say a whole bunch of bells and whistles have been added. Lets start with the V-6, like every other 2013 mustang model the V-6 (as well as the Gt) will be equipped with the new updated rear fascia that includes the nice new sleek led taillights. The V-6 will also sport a new more updated and modern grille followed by the hood. As for the V-6’s performance, the power-train has not changed. But what has changed is that the automatic transmissions now have a gear select mode. This has been long awaited in the sporty pony. As for the manual transmission the car now features an advanced program that will assist in hill start. The 2012’s V-6 performance package  is now available on both transmissions. Lets talk V-8. The V-8 is the more sensible decision of the trio (V-6,V-8,SC V-8). The Gt’s same 5.0 litre V-8 now produces 420 horsepower. This comes from a better tuned engine.(Fords racing team said that as they where developing the BOSS 302, they translated some of the specs to the V-8). The GT also has the same bells and whistles as the V-6 but they are slightly different so that you can tell the difference between the GT ans V-6. Also, similar to the V-6’s performance package, the 2012 Gt’s Brembo brake package will also be available on both transmissions.

I am personally a fan of the old 1960’s Shelby Mustangs. When I saw this I was amazed! When Ford begins the production of these GT500’s, it will be the most BAD ASS car on the road.

  2. Ashley Gammon says:

    Camaro’s will kick it’s butt

  7. the SLP ZL1 has 750 HP, Ford is still lagging…

    • James Beard says:

Nope CamaroNews.com, Ford is NOT lagging. Ford built a 2012 Shelby GT500 (super Snake I believe) with 750 Hp and an upgrade to take it up to 800+

    • Adir Hassid says:

You cant compare the SLP to the GT500 they are in different leages for Ex: V-6 = Rs Gt = SS ZL1= Gt500 that is all for the factory models. after that you have the tuner’s. we have the . Gt500 supersnake that can be rated up to 880 horses, and is tuned by Shelby and the tuners for Camaro, are Hennessy performance and SLP. So dont compare apples and oranges. get your fact’s straight. 🙂

  9. Casey L. Elliott says:

351 is back and better than ever!!!!

  10. Ford makes good cars, they are quite reliable as well. This particular car posted in this blog looks good and I think it will be good on the road. There are some people who would like to have muscle cars and they usually customize them. I like the cars that are not customized and looks quite cool and simple. Nowadays with the bad economy every where buying a car is quite expensive and so it is good to maintain them properly.
